Multiplayer VR: Enabling Collaborative Human Experience in VR with Unity

Ballroom G

Virtual reality at its core has historically been a subjective, isolated experience. With the introduction of portal services and network platforms that support multi-user VR experiences, it is now up to the developer to decide which new forms of interaction and collaboration are possible. Chris Mahoney will discuss the latest in best practices from experiences across various VR projects, as well as opportunities and hang-ups that may be encountered while attempting to implement multiplayer VR systems. This session is based on work with Unity and the HTC Vive platform, but provides information that can extend to other virtual reality platforms as well.
