Austin Game Conference Show Update

Austin Game Conference , taking place September 21-22 at the Austin Convention Center, is now less than 30 days away and more exciting details have been announced. We’ve outlined things below. Keep in mind, Early Registration ends next week, Wednesday, August 31st.

The latest news:

1. AGC is pleased to announce that Jamil Moledina, Games Strategic Lead, Google Play will deliver the Sept. 22nd keynote at the Austin Game Conference. Mobile, PC, and console models start to dissolve when gameplay, community, and new technology are tuned with a glove-like fit. Moledina will discuss “The Next Frontier”, a new inflection point in games and explain how Google thinks about and works with these trends, and how the company is partnering with game creators to explore the next frontier.

2. Moledina joins and all-star cast, including Graeme Devine, head of games at mixed reality startup Magic Leap, who keynotes on Sept. 21, and more than 80 expert speakers across five conference tracks. Recently added speakers hail from Valve Software, XEODesign, IBM, VREAL, uGen World, Electric Hat Games, EZ Mobile, and Ghost Machine VR.

3. Mark your calendars for AGC Intel Game Developer Showcase taking place at 5pm on Sept 20th (the evening before the AGC). In an evening of fun and networking, 10 game developers will take the stage and demo and pitch their games. Those same companies will also be provided exhibit space in the AGC Exhibit Hall. If you want to apply to pitch the deadline is August 31st. Apply at GamePitch.org.

4. The evening networking continues September 21st at the AGC Opening Night Party sponsored by EA at Buffalo Billiards. Enjoy great networking with two floors games, all which will be on free play: shuffleboard, pool tables, pinball, darts, air hockey and foosball. Plus, console games on large screen TVs!
